Salinas, CA Skin Cancer Treatment For Melanoma Shows Great Results

by Richard Kuehn on 06/01/15

We all start developing worrisome patches of skin when we get older, and most are easily removed by a dermatologist.  The worst type of skin cancer is melanoma, and good news was released today regarding treatment for this (which in some cases can be terminal).  Bristol-Myers Squibb announced that immune –boosting drugs delayed the progression of skin-cancer when two drugs (Yervoy and Opdivo) are used in tandem.  The drugs bind to different parts of immune-system cells to trigger destruction of tumor cells.  This is great news for those which get a melanoma diagnosis.
